Amazingly enough, if you take a picture in Washington DC in the early morning hours, not long after sunrise, say, around 0600, when the morning foggy mists have not burnt off yet (there's a reason DC is called "Foggy Bottom"), when there is very little traffic on the roads, there will also be almost no people walking around the Mall. Just a coincidence, I'm sure, that you'd choose such a shot to "demonstrate" how few people are attending the Fair. To quote the previous President: "C'mon, man..." For the record, the Great American State Fair on the National Mall opens to the public at 10:00 AM daily. So, the odds are that your picture was taken about four (4) hours BEFORE the fair opened to the public that day. I leave it to your readers to determine if a picture of the fairgrounds taken before they are open to the public is in fact a demonstration of levels of attendance. (Hint: Nope.) Just sayin'

You could be right about the timing. I have no idea since I didn't take the photo. That is WHY I commented in my own article that the timing may be why it looks so barren. Back at the start of Trump 1.0, the media went on and on about how Trump's inauguration was poorly attended and posted a number of photos of a partially empty mall to prove it. I posted photos taken while he was actually talking (with him in the photo to prove the timing ... before AI easily faked such things) to show that attendance was actually quite good. It wasn't the biggest ever, as Trump had claimed, but I showed it was better than most president's second-term inaugurations and better than some first-term inaugurations. It wasn't as big as Obama's, but I pointed out that, as the first Black president in a city with a Black majority, that was hardly surprising. So, I'm willing to be fair; but prove your point and show me pictures that do show better attendance. If you're going to contradict me and the press that I quoted, then the burden of proof is on you. It may well be that you're right, which is why I wrote the caution that I did in the article,, but I didn't have time to research beyond the photos that were in the press this time. Given the comments from MAGA people at the event, I think the photos may be fairly representative because even the MAGA crowd didn't seem too impressed. Instead, they complained about the poor attendance.

Here is the official site for the fair: https://freedom250.org/celebration/the-great-american-state-fair

Their photo of the busiest area of the fair doesn't look much better. Maybe they timed it to look unpopular, too. Now do your own work and prove your point.

.All the pictures I found look quite sparse. Apparently, the White House had the same problem finding a photo that looked like there were people there:

Now do your work and prove your point. Any idiot can simply throw darts as you did, but show it is factual.
