Here are a few headlines of interest from our weird and whacky, brazen new world of chaos as the economy sinks deeper into recession and inflation continues to rise … to help tide you over until I return from vacation next week:
We can now clearly see that any excuse will do to kick Canada in the teeth with tariffs over issues having nothing to do with trade in order to cajole Canada into becoming the US state that virtually no Canadian has ever wanted to be. We also see that, if you don’t like the job numbers, just fire the messenger. Of course, my view has always plainly stated that BLS statistics are grossly in error so that I don’t feel any sympathy for the fired chief, except that I’ll note the errors are almost always in the direction that make the current administration at the time look better in the first report; then they get revised down, as just happened for the past two months. Only this time, they didn’t look so hot in the present month either, which especially ticked Trump off. That is probably WHY the BLS in any administration tries to make the nation’s top administrator look good; this time that was just too hard of a reach as the recession predicted here for this year gaps further open under the tyranny of tariffs.

I’m so glad you posted this. It is now confirmed beyond any doubt that if trump doesn’t like the numbers he will manipulate them to his will. Which is why we CANNOT believe anything that comes out of this administration. He says the economy is booming and if there are statistics that show otherwise, they will be buried. Heaven help us. We are now Russia or North Korea.
