Netanyahu May Be Dead, and FBI Warns Iran May Be about to Attack California!
Rumors are flying that Iran successfully targeted and killed Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu in his own home, but there is nothing in the mainstream media. Some barely-known alternative sites (like my own, so no offense intended for being barely known) are reporting it. However, there has been no confirmation by either the US or Israel of the assassination. On the other hand, there has also been no denial, and Bibi hasn’t been seen since his residence was struck. (See video and news articles that follow for the details and purported evidence.)
The International Energy Agency voted to release the largest amount of oil in history from various national reserves today, but it didn’t make a dent in the price of oil, which is back up to loose change from $100/bbl for Brent, as speculators weighed the release against the latest Iranian strikes on three cargo ships in the Strait of Hormuz. They also had to weigh the oil release against repeated statements by the US navy that it is not about to escort any merchant ships because it is too dangerous.
Iran continues to claim it has mined the strait. Trump says he doesn’t believe it has succeeded. I say it doesn’t matter. So far Iran has already achieved a 100% oil embargo without mines and without sinking ships because it has blasted enough holes in a few to make all of them hold back. That, I said from the start is all it would take, and it has worked. To establish the point, Iran bombed another three ships in the Persian Gulf today.
My one caveat would be that Iran may need to lay a few mines just to convince the idiot stock traders or oil speculators who need something tangible to believe because Trump’s word that all is safe was enough for them to bet the price down. (I’ll add one exception: Iran is now letting its friend, China, get some tankers through for its own oil. That could somewhat soften price increases for the West just because China will not be buying quite as much replacement oil from other regions.)
The FBI warned today it has some intel that Iran may have plans it is pursuing for making drone attacks on the California coast:
“We recently acquired information that as of early February 2026, Iran allegedly aspired to conduct a surprise attack using unmanned aerial vehicles from an unidentified vessel off the coast of the United State Homeland, specifically against unspecified targets in California, in the event that the US conducted strikes against Iran,” according to the alert distributed at the end of February. “We have no additional information on the timing, method, target, or perpetrators of this alleged attack….”
While the FBI’s warning did not specify how or when vessels carrying attack drones could get close enough to the U.S. mainland, intelligence officials have long been concerned about equipment being pre-positioned – either on land or on ships at sea -- in the event Israel or the U.S. struck Iran.
The most important news of the day, because it is not just a vague possibility like the intel about a drone attack on US soil, but a stated declaration, is that Iran said …
