This will likely be the only Daily-Doom discount this deep ever.

The Daily Doom is so close to attaining the minimum support level I set for its survival, yet I still did not get enough of my old Patrons to convert to Substack to survive. However, because that minimum goal is just a breath away, I’m offering this special discount to create a final chance to clear that bar by the end of this week when the last of my complimentary subscriptions for past Patrons will be expiring.

For years, I set a bare minimum of $500 a month because I felt I had to determine some gauge by which I could say this is or is not worth my time. I remained a little above that level throughout years of writing until making the switch to Substack’s platform. Right now we are stuck just beneath that level, so I am making this limited-time offer that will apply to each paid subscription level for a year. This will likely be the only discount this deep ever in order to see if The Daily Doom can make it.

I assure you, if The Daily Doom doesn’t clear the minimum threshold by this weekend (which I think it will with the nudge from this offer), then I will continue writing until this week’s month-by-month subscriptions get all they paid for, and then I will refund whatever proration of annual subscriptions remains unfulfilled. A few people have asked not to get a refund just to help me with that transition if I have to take it, and I am thankful for that.
