If I had written at the start of October that the president would destroy a third of the White House before the end of the month, some of my own readers (I know by experience) would have told me I have Trump derangement syndrome. If I said it right after he told the press he was going to do some remodeling but wouldn’t damage anything, I would have been accused of calling him a liar without any basis.
If I had also posted an AI created meme that day of the president flying with a crown on his head in a fighter jet named “King Trump,” dumping excrement on America, people would have cancelled their subscriptions because I was clearly trying to smear the president with disgusting humor. They’d tell me I had Trump stuck in my head and needed to get over my ridiculous attempts at humor at his expense.
But now the president has beat me to all of that, himself.
In less than a week, Trump has completely destroyed one-third of the White House. An aerial photo in the headlines below reveals that the ENTIRE East Wing of the White House has now been leveled. You can be sure that most of the people on the Right side of congress do not even care about his little white (house) lie when he claimed he woudldn’t harm any of it.
The White House is beloved by a majority of Americans as an iconic structure equal to the Washington Monument. Yet, in less than a week, a third of a structure that has stood the test of time through American history with modifications along the way, has been laid to ruin without any word about what was going to happen by presidential decree, covered with a lie that promised nothing like that would happen. While a poll today shows the vast majority of Americans hate what just happened to the White House, congress barely seems to care.
What an apropos symbol of a government that is self-demolishing under a shutdown and under haphazard human resource demolition that preceded the shutdown. One has to wonder if the White House demolition will prove just as haphazard, given how quickly it was carried out with obviously little time for planning to maintain all complicated, hidden security measures built throughout the structure. How much will have been wrongly ripped out like the literally thousands of government workers the Trump administration has already had to hire back after firing them because they proved to be essential?
One has to wonder about the promise that billionaires will pay for it all, given the abject failure of the administration to turn any of the government shutdown into financial savings. In fact, today’s news says the administration actually heaped up another trillion dollars of additional debt in just two months of the new fiscal year! That eclipses the fastest debt accumulation under any other president. Even after twenty days of shutting down the government, a shutdown beat for length only by Trumps first shutdown during 1.0, the government went into debt faster than ever before. Yet, the supposedly frugal red monkeys in congress have had nothing to say about either this biggest budget blowout of all time or the president’s destruction of the White House, which if done by Al Qaeda would start another trillion-dollar war.
Of course, Trump is only demolishing the historic structure in order to build something much grander—a gold-trimmed ballroom that you can be sure will exclusively serve only billionaires and multi-millionaires (who may have to sit against the wall for being so junior league). These are the people Trump recently hosted at a dinner to raise funds for the new ballroom. Slated to allow 900 people to dine and dance in one evening at an estimated construction cost of $300-million, you can figure the per-person cost for those who will enjoy fraternizing with the president in the new facility is a bargain compared to the million-dollar-a-plate fundraisers they are used to paying to gain access to presidents of either blue or red color coding in the modern uniparty.
As the icon known as the “people’s house” falls to the ground in the dust of demolition, the takeover of the corporatocracy has become complete. The symbol of American democracy is broken into ruble. The billionaires, however, will gain a suitable gold-laced palace to dine with the Don as he decides which corporations to pour US taxpayer dollars into for equity stakes and which ones to approve for big government contracts on deals he will ink himself without even consulting congress … as he has already done more than once.
Halloween cryptos
How equally fitting that on this day, the Don of America has pardoned the Billionaire of Binance who went to prison for setting up the nation’s biggest digital money laundry for mafia crooks. Changpeng Zhao finished serving a four-month prison sentence back in September 2024; but today he was presidentially exonerated so that he can contract with the government again.
Zhao was sentenced to four months in prison after reaching a deal with the Justice Department to plead guilty to charges of enabling money laundering at Binance, which he ran at the time. Thanks to the pardon, Zhao could retake direct control of Binance.
“Deeply grateful for today’s pardon and to President Trump for upholding America’s commitment to fairness, innovation, and justice,” Zhao wrote in a post on X after the announcement. “Will do everything we can to help make America the Capital of Crypto and advance web3 worldwide….”
“These actions by the Biden Administration severely damaged the United States’ reputation as a global leader in technology and innovation,” Leavitt said. “The Biden Administration’s war on crypto is over.”
Maybe so. I never followed the Biden-Binance anti-bromance, and it was settled with a plea bargain, which I always think is the farce that happens when the government cannot make its case. Still, happening in the same week when Melania’s crooked crypto architects are being taken to trial for snookering the legion of people who invested in her cute coinage along with the fact that Zhao pumped $Trump to its original fortune before it crashed as pitifully as $Melania fell from grace (see yesterday’s article and graph) … all makes one wonder if Zhao’s pardon had anything to do with his help on the family crypto scheme. Both cryptos right now graph out like a Halloween scare ride into the crypt.
People I would never trust wrote the following about the Binance lockup and fines back in Biden’s days of demented glory:
In November 2023, the Justice Department called the agreement with Binance and Zhao a “coordinated” action between the Treasury, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network. “Binance became the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange in part because of the crimes it committed — now it is paying one of the largest corporate penalties in U.S. history,” then-Attorney General Merrick Garland said in 2023.
Then-Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen also said the company’s “willful failures allowed money to flow to terrorists, cybercriminals, and child abusers through its platform.”
I don’t trust either of those people; however …
Binance wrote in a blog post at the time that it “takes responsibility for this past chapter.”
Yet, maybe that mea-culpa was just part of the plea deal.
Still, in the world of good-ol’ boy, strongman government based more than anything on personal loyalty, the possibilities for corruption will be endless during the 3+ years that remain; but this is the government America has chosen and many are still fighting for. Some like Marjorie Taylor Greene and her nemesis Laura Loomer have started to distance themselves from the man they always stood by. Cracks are showing in the veneer of loyalty, largely over Trump’s handling of the Epstein files, but also over his many new wars that his supporters were adamantly opposed to, but how principled the objections are, I cannot say.
I suspect that it won’t be long before we hear that unfortunately the Epstein Files were stored in an unlocked closet in the East Wing, and somehow they got hauled off with the East Wing rubble and are gone forever.
I’m thinking the president is not just a narcissistic megalomaniac but is clearly as demented as Biden definitely was now that he is dishing out word salad more frequently than Biden did. I mean if you heard Trump rambling on and on at his useless theatrical meeting with all of his generals, his speech, if it can even be called that, was a strange parade of completely disjoined thoughts threaded together with the usual braggadocio about having all the best paper in the White House to write on and the nicest signature, which everyone loves, and firemen are great. Even Vladimir Putin said we are hot, and we went to court, but we won because it should be called the Gulf of America. (O.K. I shortened it a little, but that is about how cogent the whole long mess was.) There was NO reason for generals and admirals to be gathered from all over the world to listen to that hog-trough of salad slop.
What a heap of word salad. Sadly, the Republicans in the White House are just as guilty of covering for Dementia Don as the Democrats in the White House were of covering for old Biden-his-time. I routinely pointed out back during the Democrat denial days that all the king’s men were hiding the obvious truth about Biden, the guy who shook hands with curtains, because that is how the underlings get to keep running the world. My Republican readers loved that. Now they’re doing the same thing the Democrats were all doing.
Meanwhile, as the new team at the White House lets Trump wander outside of his playpen, the venerate White House lies largely in ruins around him, so does the US government as it piles up a trillion dollars of additional debt at the rate of every two months now! It’s a travesty in a state of collapse as surely as the White House is.
