“When I catch you, I’ll blast you outa the water with my loud horn!”

The US attacked Iran today in retaliation for attacks Iran made on US bases in Jordan in retaliation for the attacks the US made against Iranian efforts to place mines in the Strait of Hormuz. After this latest US attack, Trump preemptively warned Iran that, should Iran have the audacity to respond to the United States’ latest and “very justified attack” with another attack of its own, it will be hit “again at a much harder and higher level, but it will not be the biggest attack of them all, that is waiting in the wings.” Then he added his usual bullhorn threat amplifier: “When it is over, there will be very little left of the Islamic Republic of Iran!”

Iran responded that it most certainly will retaliate for today’s reprisal with an attack that is “several times larger” than its last attack.

“The more the terrorist US military persists in its malign activities in the region, the heavier the losses it will be forced to bear. We have repeatedly declared, and are resolved, that under no circumstances will we yield on the rights of the heroic Iranian nation, and we will impose a heavy cost on the American enemy,” [Iran] stated.

Trump tirades

To show them who is boss, Trump also posted an AI-faked video of the US blowing up numerous targets on Kharg Island, which he has many times threatened to take over. What a tease, that Trump. It scared Iran so badly they went back to eating breakfast.

We know Iran will follow through with the larger response it has just promised … after dinner. It always does follow through with what it says it will do.

We don’t know if Trump will follow through with the “total decimation” of Iran he has promised in return. He most often does not follow through with what he says he will do. Most of what has come out of his mouth during Trump’s War has been vain threats and easily disproven boasts about major US accomplishments, such as achieving victory in the war against Iran, beating them better than Bush in less than 100 days, then gaining complete control over the strait months after he had beaten them into total surrender, regaining total control several times more, even though he is still clearly battling for control, then actually declaring the strait as new US territory. I’m surprised he hasn’t already ordered Google to rename Hormuz, “the Strait of America” while the rest of the world continues to call it “Hormuz.” He has more control over Google than he does over Iran.

So, Iran ignores everything Trump says and just does whatever Iran last promised it was going to do, while telling Trump to go home before he gets hurt.

Trump trades

In what likely made for predictable and highly profitable insider bets at the White House, US stocks plunged, bond yields took off to heights not seen in a few years, and oil soared today. West Texas Intermediate crude (WTI) shot right past $90/bbl, and Brent bolted above $95/bbl (at the time of this writing).

“Always and forever, the stock market is going to struggle to digest big and kind of volatile moves in the bond market,” said Ross Mayfield, Baird investment strategist. “I think this is with us for the near term and the long term.”

Just like the war. Sadly.

The sovereign bond route has become global due to the war’s threat of increasing inflation on top of the impacts of constantly changing tariffs, making it increasingly hard for governments to fund their massive debts. When asked about how the bond route affected his work, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent literally laughed off the bond troubles today by claiming it didn’t matter because the US is the best horse at the glue factory.

Thus, September started in the red for all three major stock indices

“You’re making me mad! Stop running in circles or I’ll shoot you!”

Rounding up images for paying subscribers of the catastrophe along the border of Nepal and Tibet as well as explanations of how it all happened, I’ve posted several stories below with before-and-after photos of villages COMPLETELY erased in seconds from the map, including the border gateway building. All of these stories now say the unusual cause of the massive flash flood was the collapse of the small peak I wrote about, including the underlying bedrock shelf along the terminal edge of the glacier, which took the overlying ice down with it.
