Trump Blows up: Says he No Longer Needs or Wants MAGA Support from Anyone Pushing the Epstein Assassination "Hoax!"

The Old Man got pretty fired up today.

Forget today’s new fact that a forensic report now says metadata shows the “raw” Epstein prison video had nearly three minutes actually cut out of it and that it is made from two videos spliced together. Interesting as that is, it is also completely irrelevant because NO PART OF THE PRISON THAT IS ESSENTIAL TO SEE IN ORDER TO KNOW IF EPSTEIN WAS ASSASSINATED IS VISIBLE IN THE VIDEO ANYWAY. You would think everyone would have noticed by now what Trump’s own people should have noticed right away.

(Odd little quirk of timing that tidbit, coming as it does right after the one-year anniversary of the attempted assassination of Candidate Trump.)

The video is a complete ruse. It doesn’t show Epstein’s cell, or the corridor through the cell block or the steps up to the corridor, and the room that is featured in the video is one-third out of view, with the part that is out of view having several other exits through which people could come and go to Epstein’s cell all they wanted. So, the video is missing, literally, EVERYTHING you would need to see in order to know that no one killed Epstein, other than Epstein.

Since the video shows no part of the prison that anyone cares about, I’m not sure why the administration would have to splice and fake anything, except that maybe the murderers accidentally strayed into view of the camera carrying a rope made of bed sheets even though there was no reason they needed to be in that part of the prison. Regardless, news today said the raw video was edited more than originally thought.

Trump is burning up

Trump, again, expressed emphatically how much he really, really wishes his supporters would just get over this “bullshit hoax” that he now claims was created by Democrats in order to get him like the “golden showers” Russia hoax of his first presidential term, created by Pillary Clinton.

In fact, Trump got so angry today, he said he doesn’t care if he loses MAGA support from all the podcasters who report on this stuff. He’s so successful now at being president, he bragged, that he doesn’t need those “weakling” supporters anymore! He sounds more than a bit unhinged by it all:

President Donald Trump, in a stunning Truth Social post Wednesday, branded the Jeffrey Epstein story — which has been perpetrated by the highest ranking members of his Justice Department for years — a “hoax.”

“Scams and Hoaxes are all the Democrats are good at – It’s all they have – They are no good at governing, no good at policy, and no good at picking winning candidates,” Trump said. He added, “Their new SCAM is what we will forever call the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax, and my PAST supporters have bought into this ‘bullshit,’ hook, line, and sinker. They haven’t learned their lesson, and probably never will, even after being conned by the Lunatic Left for 8 long years…..”

“I have had more success in 6 months than perhaps any President in our Country’s history, and all these people want to talk about, with strong prodding by the Fake News and the success starved Dems, is the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax,” Trump said. “Let these weaklings continue forward and do the Democrats work, don’t even think about talking of our incredible and unprecedented success, because I don’t want their support anymore!”

Quite a rant over a list that doesn’t exist and never did and files that don’t reveal a single criminal to prosecute! Why so inflamed just because people want to see files that you’ve already said reveal nothing? Me thinks he doth protest WAY too much.

Problem with The Grump’s hoax brush-off is that, 1) Republicans were the ones who pushed this assassination story for years—Dan Bongino and Kash Patel, Trump’s FBI heads, being two who pushed it the most. 2) We already have someone convicted to twenty years in prison for her role in the crimes; so, a court looked at the evidence, decided major crimes were, in fact, committed and sent an accomplice to prison for it!

Now, when is your Dept. of Justice taking the people who had sex with minors to court, Mr. Trump? Trump adamantly believes pursuing those to whom the girls were trafficked is a waste of time, even though the trafficking has already been proven in court; so, he wants to make sure that doesn’t happen because there were no Johns, just victims who were minors who had underage sex with no one. He expects you to believe that, which is why he is getting really, really angry.

Republicans try to put Trump’s flames out

That said, Republicans on the House Rules Committee did their best yesterday to help Grumpy Trumpy flush this fake conspiracy to convince Americans that there was a real governmental conspiracy to assassinate Epstein. All but two Republicans on the committee voted not to release the same Epstein files they were once saying must be released to be transparent.

The more hot headed Trump the Grump gets about being pushed to release files that reveal nothing, the more everyone is bound to wonder what, among the things they don’t reveal, is so freakin’ important!?

Trump’s friend and staunch supporter, Laura Loomer, is now pushing for a “special counsel” investigation to relieve Trump of the burden. That should go over well with Trump, having already felt he was always the victim of special investigators and loathing to see anything legal placed outside his control. The problem is that Loomer is one of the loyal supporters Trump says he no longer needs who was long duped (according to him) into pushing what Trump now claims is a Democrat conspiracy hoax.

She likened it to the intense media interest in ties between Trump’s first White House campaign and Russia, saying “I don’t want it to consume his presidency.”

“Obviously, this is not a complete hoax given the fact that Ghislaine Maxwell is currently serving 20 years in prison in Florida for her crimes and activities with Jeffrey Epstein, who we know is a convicted sexual predator,” Loomer told POLITICO. “This is why I said, and I’ll reiterate it again, the best thing that the president can do is appoint a special counsel to handle the Epstein files investigation.”

So, it’s a partial hoax? Just not a complete hoax? What? You can’t just fully contradict Trump’s statement that a story you pushed is a hoax?

She needn’t worry her pretty little head, which I think is feeling very pinched right now by the fact that she knows she is one of the people who pushed the (apparently) partial hoax that Trump now says only “weaklings” pushed—weaklings he says he no longer needs because he’s doing such a great job as president. Our top highlighted story today says that Republicans are moving on.

Having voted the Epstein files aside, while also deciding not to let Ghislaine Maxwell speak to congress about whatever Maxwell claims to know, Republicans who were once upset about the Epstein files being buried are coming back into the fold. The cult is reassembling around their man:

FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino, who didn’t show up for work on Friday after a fight with Attorney General Pam Bondi and weighed resigning in protest of the administration’s handling of the Epstein case, spoke to President Donald Trump over the weekend. He subsequently returned to the office on Monday….

TPUSA co-founder Charlie Kirk — said Monday he wouldn’t be commenting further. Notably, he also spoke with Trump this weekend….

The Epstein flap, as of Monday night, now appears to be the latest example of a second Trump term that’s been defined by the president’s ability to bend GOP lawmakers and his base to his will. Trump made clear that he wants to get past the circular firing squad that the conservative movement descended into last week over Epstein documents….

A reprieve from the Epstein files would be welcome news for Republicans who want to limit the fallout from the accused sex trafficker’s case, a conspiratorial focus on the right since his 2019 death while awaiting trial.

One has to wonder why Republicans are so worried about fallout from a case they have already told us has no criminals left to take to trial. Epstein is dead, and nobody killed him but himself; Maxwell’s in prison. There is nothing left to see. They told you so. So, why so much effort to sweep it under the rug, and why all the anger that it refuses to stay there?

“It’s all National Enquirer stuff,” Sen. Tommy Tuberville, R-Ala., told Semafor. “Everybody’s had their speculation of who did what and why they did. We got so many more things up here that we got to do other than worry about that. Now, if [there’s] something out there, I think they should put it out. But it’s obvious there’s nothing there.”

OK. Then put it out there! Call releasing the files to the main floor of the House for a vote.

“I’m kind of surprised, because I was led to believe there was more there than what’s indicated,” Senate Judiciary Chair Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, told Semafor. “I can’t draw any more conclusions, just that I’m surprised.”

Then why allow a vote of the Rules Committee to silence it all?

“My strongest feeling is: I’m glad I have nothing to do with it,” said Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas.

Then why don’t you vote to release the files, instead of quash them?

“What is it about Jeffrey Epstein that’s so infuriating to people, so infuriating that it’s actually causing seismic political problems?” asked Tucker Carlson on Friday. “It’s the frustration of normal people, watching a certain class of people get away with everything every single time.”

Uh huh. Here we go again. Republicans voted yesterday to sweep it all away so we can get on with the important business of congress, such as not voting on whether the US declares wars before it gets into wars, not voting on tariffs that affect the whole world … that kind of stuff. Not voting on anything that would take the constitutional powers of congress back from the president.

Mike Flynn — who briefly served as Trump’s national security adviser in his first term — wrote in a lengthy X post on Wednesday that Trump needed to “gather your team and figure out a way to move past this.”

I think moving “past this” was exactly the problem! How about finally moving right into it and taking people to court? You get through it by dealing with it properly. Steve Bannon also urged a special counsel. I’m pretty sure Trump will be ignoring Bannon’s and Loomer’s looming advice as he has ignored all angry MAGA Republicans and now writes them off as “weaklings” and conspiracy theorists. Trump hates special counsels.

For Trump’s part, he focused in his talks with the press today on waving a letter he wrote to fire Jerome Powell, asking the gathered crowd if he should send it. (“Should I lock her up?”) Can anyone yell, “Squirrel!?” Trump clearly needs to start a new news cycle. Nothing like a little thumbs-up/thumbs-down Roman theater for the masses.

“Wow, amazing that Epstein ‘killed himself’ and Ghislaine is in federal prison for a hoax,” Musk wrote on his social media platform X in response to the US president’s attempt to deflect questions about Epstein…. “He should just release the files and point out which part is the hoax.”

If there is nothing to hide, why try so dog-gone hard to make it look like there is?

The MAGA meltdown over Epstein “could be his Afghanistan going into the fall,” Mark Mitchell, head of polling and operations at Rasmussen Reports, told Steve Bannon Tuesday on his “War Room” podcast.

“People are trying to say this isn’t a big deal,” Mitchell said. “People are trying to say nobody wants this Epstein information out. It’s an absolute misdirection. This is horrifying. And if it isn’t corrected, it threatens derailing Trump’s agenda, getting rid of his political capital.”

“This is not about a guy who died in 2019, this is about a representation of two-tier justice and about unaccountable government,” Mitchell told Bannon….

The Epstein fiasco also prompted Speaker Mike Johnson to split with Trump on Tuesday, calling for the Department of Justice to release all the information it has on the sex offender in the name of “transparency.”

“It’s a very delicate subject, but you should put everything out there, let the people decide it,” Johnson told conservative commentator Benny Johnson

Really? Where was your vote? You let the House Rules Committee keep release of the Epstein files from coming up for a full congressional vote. You’re Speaker of the House. You can MAKE such a vote happen.

(One correction I need to make here is that I misread the story yesterday and reported that all Republicans but two voted against releasing the files. In fact, it was all Republicans ON THE RULES COMMITTEE but two. It never made it to a full House vote.)

“I don’t understand why the Jeffrey Epstein case would be of interest to anybody,” Trump said. He added, ” I think, really, only pretty bad people, including fake news, wanna keep something like that going.”

Well, put an end to all of that then by putting the files that reveal nothing all out there for everyone to see everything! No one is stopping you but you! No better way to end all the speculation than just revealing all the facts.

Share the glare. Keep the spotlight in the president’s eyes.
