After several days of news about a twisted AI trying to kill humanity, it’s actually a normal news day today where the weather dominates. Two major supercell clouds plowed through Tornado Ally in the last twenty-four hours. While such news is not particularly rare this time of year, some of the photos and videos are quite dramatic. Another turn in the weather, albeit a normal one, is a likely return to El Niño weather this summer, which will bring more heat but could also likely dump more rain as the warmer mass of ocean water gives rise to more evaporation.

Space-X made a spectacular launch with the world’s most powerful rocket, but that took a twist at the end, as the rocket appeared to tumble and fall apart a little more than planned in its final stage separation; but Space-X says the mission wasn’t intended to go beyond that point anyway, so they are declaring it a success.

And the sons of El Chapo, we learn, added their own twist to torture, using cork screws. So, twisted news all over, but not a high news day so far.
