Taking Stock of Where We are as We Enter the Unknown

Reflections on the path we've travelled since the Covidcrisis transformed our world.

I truly never thought the US would go this entirely crazy in so short a time. I had no doubt it would go crazy, but the speed at which we slipped down the rabbit hole since Covid hit in 2020 is head-spinning: The massive pile-up of government debt at an exponential rate exceeded everything we have ever experienced—even when trying to save ourselves from The Great Recession and its crashing behemoth banks. The exposed follies of the Fed as it claimed inflation was transitory with all the public willingness to let it keep printing mountains of money, which so obviously would fuel inflation in a time of shortages, was a monstrous error that has cost us all in the form of skyrocketing inflation. The vaccine mandates (to the point of stripping people of their ability to buy and sell by terminating their livelihoods) and all the other trashing of the Bill of Rights happened with much less resistance from the majority of subjects than I thought possible. The masses readily threw away their freedom of speech just to protect themselves from having to hear anything they don’t like or agree with. Our nation has turned the pages of 1984 into prophetic words, so have many other nations.

The public mind was almost completely taken over by LGBTQ+++ activists who far too easily convinced the nation to actively teach all children they can simply declare whether they are male or female. Overnight, they achieved the removal of male/female designations from birth certificates that have been standard for as long as we’ve had birth certificates. I’ve experienced sudden pressure in the schools where I live and work to lie by acknowledging, as if it were true, that children can declare, not just their gender, but their species, with almost no one in society seeming to recognize they are fulfilling the tale of “The Emperor's New Clothes.” They believe that changing your gender or species can actually happen, so they destroy those who say otherwise. (I was instructed in the school where I work that we will, by government edict, call children by the gender they choose or even the NON-gender. Now, how on earth is being non-gender physically possible? Just cut out all your gender-based organs and hormones?) Reality has vanished from the minds of most who walk forward with these delusions like unthinking zombies.

None of those things surprise me that they have happened, except that the gender stuff has gone even crazier than I originally thought it would, though I did predict before I saw it actually happening, that children would soon figure out, if they can change gender, they can change race and species, too. Now I’ve seen that at the school where I work as the children talk about being different races than they were born and even about deciding to be a cat. Never did I think the slide into mandatory adoption of ALL of those delusions would happen within just the space of a couple of years while the slide into total economic collapse would drag out so long, though that is happening in the order I’ve described, too.

It is ALL happening -- both faster and slower than I expected. So, I now predict we will quickly become a nation unable to talk to each other and I don’t mean just because we are angry over our huge political and social divisions. I mean our delusions and denial and forced fabrication of fantasy “realities” will turn communication into a word salad.

We’ve already seen the beginning of that when a Supreme Court Justice who claims “she” is "female" said she also has no idea what a "female" is and even told congress she is not qualified simply by being someone who calls herself “female” to render an opinion on what is a “woman” and what is not. As if that is not bizarre in itself, she said this even though the job she was being qualified for is specifically to render difficult opinions. And, being that completely unable to render an opinion on what a woman is, though claiming to be one, she got the job and was applauded for her chosen ignorance. So, how will we speak to each other in future years when we cannot even agree on the most foundational definitions that held solid without ever being questioned by society for thousands of years? We are watching the disintegration of language, itself, all around us. Black is no longer Black. White is Black if a person born White declares he/she/it/they are Black.

Oh, the humanity!

I would say, "God save us all," but I think FIRST it is apparent God is letting us go ahead and destroy ourselves. Evil contains the seeds of its own destruction, and it appears to me God is letting those seeds sprout and grow as people wish, giving humanity free rein to destroy itself. That will be a tough ride for those with the sense to see that it is happening, who must bear up though an environment saturated in delusions and not lose their own balance or way; but I think it is the passage we are on all the same. If humanity destroys itself, no one can blame God for that destruction just because he let us do it to ourselves. It will be a struggle for the rest of us, though, to hang on to the end and believe in the One we must believe in if we are to have a center that holds us together and alive in such a vortex of insanity, illusions and lies.

When I think of all the present delusions, I think about the following ancient passage as describing our times:

God’s Wrath Against Sinful Humanity

Romans 1:18-32:

¹⁸ The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, ¹⁹ since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. ²⁰ For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

²¹ For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. ²² Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools ²³ and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.

²⁴ Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. ²⁵ They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

²⁶ Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones.²⁷ In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

²⁸ Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. ²⁹ They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, ³⁰ slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents;³¹ they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy.³² Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

We’ve seen a lot of those “who suppress the truth by their wickedness” forcing their own will upon the rest of us. Without mercy, they cancel the careers and the reputations of people who speak truth because they will not participate in the delusions of others. Those who are woke but not wise suppress the truth by censoring people who speak of a different reality than the one they believe in, even though they are only speaking of the reality everyone believed in for thousands of years. Not participating in their belief is an affront to them because it reminds them of the fact that their “reality” is a façade of their own making, which they must hold together by getting others to align so nothing tears at their deluded perceptions. They teach our children—everyone’s children—that they can declare their own gender, and they even help them do it without the evil parents’ permission. And, in doing this, they believe themselves to be more wise and loving than those who don’t follow their beliefs.

They have held back the truth about our nation’s financial situation, broken by their Covid policies. They have detained those who resisted their vaccine control by quarantining them from public places and events if they didn’t present proof of vaccination and even by destroying their livelihoods. They have silenced the rest of the population from expressing their own beliefs about Covid or gender. They have even become so nonsensical in their tossed salad of thoughts as to say they are not abrogating your or my freedom of speech so long as we say the things they tell us to say by using the words they tell us to use. Outside of that, we can supposedly still say what we want … until they censor that, too, if it shines too much light into their darkened world.

As we proceeded through this Christmas season, they certainly denied Jesus Christ, whom the season celebrates, who made known and manifest the invisible God. They neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened until they believed their foolishness was wisdom. Not only do they not believe he is humanity’s door to heaven, which is certainly their right, but they suppressed the rights of those who do believe that, having forbidden them from making their own choice about congregating in churches during Covid, thereby denying in their religious ignorance that Christianity is fundamentally a socially-based faith that is and must be shared between people in loving relationships.

They have labeled those who refuse to participate in their own sexual degeneracy as haters of humanity while they, themselves, commit evil against the children of humanity so that the children receive within themselves the punishment for the errors of their elders who encourage their children to mutilate their bodies in practically irreversible ways. They believe in that which is “false” in that they can never change their chromosome structure, their DNA, their skeletal structure or their brain structure, but they foist that belief on the malleable minds of children who trust what their parents and teachers tell them about reality. Thereby, they turn the children of humanity into Frankenstein patchwork monstrosities, and then pronounce their human creations as “good,” having misshapen the image of God that is built within each individual into an image of their own making, misguiding the whole sacred and natural order of creation, just as the passage above describes.

Soon they will imprison those who do not follow their evil ways, who refuse to abuse children. They will imprison them because they resisted the socially reinforced transmogrification of their own children because their own children are no longer theirs but belong to the village now. It appears some cases of that kind of arrest have already happened when parents strenuously protested what schools and medical facilities were doing to their children without their parental consent. For that, the parents were deemed evil and controlling and, oddly, destructive of the child they were trying to preserve.

There are ancient prophetic warnings about this whole charade:

Isaiah 5:20:

“Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness;
Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”

As many of us at this time of year have just considered Jesus Christ’s first advent, now may be a good time to consider his second in light of the society that is described as living in those times:

2 Thessalonians 2:8-12:

⁸ And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming. ⁹ The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, ¹⁰ and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.¹¹ For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie ¹² and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.

I think those closing words deeply describe the times we live in. They may also explain why the lies above have been able so rapidly and easily to sweep over our nation and many other nations that are trying to form alliance in a new world order. Evil contains the seeds of its own destruction if they are given ground into which they can grow, but it may also contain the seeds of our destruction in this life as it grows around us and seeks to choke us out.

Seek the light, grip reality, hold the truth and tell it. Don’t go easy into that dark night. Be light, be real, be true, then share who you are with integrity and love in the year ahead, for truth without love is tyranny.
